Instructions
1. Read the last thing on the page before you do anything
2. Put your music player on shuffle.
3. Press forward for each question.
4. Use the song title as the answer to the question even if it doesn't make sense. NO CHEATING!

How do you feel today?
--This Money's Yours from Miss Saigon by Claude-Michel Schonberg. Generous, apparently.

What's your outlook on life?
--I'm Finding It Harder to Be a Gentleman by The White Stripes. That's my super power...

What does your family think of you?
--Divine Love (Karitas Habundat) by Hildegard von Bingen. Either they have a blasphemous view of me, or they themselves...

What do your friends think of you?
--The Last Night of the World from Miss Saigon by Claude-Michel Schonberg. You all think I'm the anti-Christ, don't you? Or will in some way bring about the apocalypse? That's really taking me at my word...

What do strangers think of you?
--My Sentimental Melody by The Magnetic Fields.

What do your exes think of you?
--Es Bringe Die Erde Hervor Lebende Geschopfe from Die Schopfung by Haydn. Ach! Why is anyone thinking of me in German?

How is your love life?
--Hymn to The Sun from Akhnaten by Philip Glass. I've given up women for pagan nature worship, apparently.

How will your love life be in the future?
--False Pretense by Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. I don't think I should trust a survey to tell me either I'm superficial or gay...

Will you get married?
--Danseuses de Delphes by Claude Debussy. Yes? Maybe? To a French woman that likes modes?

Will you have kids?
--Der, Welcher Wandert Diese Strasse from Die Zauberflote by Mozart. Something about a street?

Are you good at school?
--Rain from Cowboy Bebop. That's a good non sequitor and poetic image. Finally, something that makes no sense, and due to this, makes sense.

Will you be successful in life?
--Circumradiant Dawn by Dead Can Dance. Maybe I won't be successful, but I'll at least have percussive and fold inspired indie music.

What song should they play on your birthday?
--Losing Lisa by Ben Folds. No idea.

What song should they play at your funeral?
--Stolen by Inga Liljestrom. Everyone will be all bereft 'cause I been stolen away.

The soundtrack of your life:
--Mountain of Power Procession by Basil Poledouris. Yes, this is from the Conan the Barbarian soundtrack. My life has to with cults, snakes, and Arnold Schwarzenegger, as you all can attest.

You and your best friends are:
--Be My Love by Fritz Wunderlich. We're all very romantic or we're all awesome German tenors.

Happy times:
--Molto vivace from Symphony Nine by Beethoven. Happy times = more lively. Guess so.

Sad times:
--Maybe You'll See Us by Reel Big Fish. Perhaps I'll have bad times, perhaps not.

Every day:
--Mo Cairenn by David Davidson. Yes, this is from an album called Celtic Fantasy. Deal with it.

For tomorrow:
--The Wars of the Last Wolves from Rurouni Kenshin.

For you:
--Erwage Doch, Kind Gottes from Cantata 80 by JS Bach. A recitative from the Ein Feste Burg cantata. Maybe.

What does next year have in store for me?
--More Than 3cm by Yoko Kanno. Cryptic, like I just visited a soothsayer.

What do I say when life gets too hard?
--Tougher Than It Is by Cake. All too applicable.

What song will I dance to at my wedding?
--Troika Gallop by the Red Army Choir. I hope my wife enjoys dancing with me to Russian Folk Music sung by a Soviet Men's Choir.

What do you want as a career?
--Veris Leta Facies from Carmina Burana by Carl Orff. About Spring unveiling herself. Do I secretly want to be some promiscuous Greek character traipsing about the woods?

Your favorite saying?
--Your Southern Can Is Mine by The White Stripes. Who do I know from the South? And this would be very inappropriate to be saying...

How will I die?
--Show You How by The Killers. But not right now. Later.

Next Sunday, the 24th, at 3:00, is the opera "Dead Man Walking." Ashley from Concordia wishes to see it, and I as well, and if any of the rest of you are interested, just let me know. I will try to purchase tickets slightly beforehand. They are ten dollars, I believe.

Saw the trailer for this when I watched Assassination yesterday. A WW2 movie with Keira Knightley and a British country home? I'm there.

Let this be thy forum. The world shall not know our deeds this Friday hence, until it is upon them.

But I believe we should know. Of course, Sarah's concert is tomorrow at 7:30 in Kimball, but, ah ha!, I find my choir concert in parallel this Friday at 8, but equally in Kimball. You are all welcome to attend, it shan't be an hour I think, or welcome to do as you please, with myself catching up if I can. Else, following the concert I'm offering the use of my apartment, that we may revel in the end of the week and in celebration of Sarah's birthday, the day itself having been so miserably spent.

So you all know I don't think I'm going to be doing much posting on lj anymore. Well, I'll check it and dispense comments as necessary, but I'm starting up my own blog, which, in some ways, I think will be more liberating. But check it out - http://absenceofdenial.blogspot.com/. The address is also on my facebook page and I have a note up about it. Well, I'm working all this weekend, so I'll see you when I see you.

I have a story for you all. And a question.

In Europe, there was a man named Johann and his wife. Johann's wife was sick with cancer and was very near the brink of death. Fortunately, a man at the local apothecary had discovered a new isotope of radium that was very effective in killing the type of cancer had by Johann's wife. However, the shopkeeper was selling the radium for 10k euros, far more than Johann had, even borrowing from his friends, and he had no insurance. He begged the shopkeeper for the radium, but the shopkeeper refused. So Johann became desperate and broke into the apothecary and stole the radium for his wife.

Should Johann have stolen the radium? And why?

I glanced quickly through the news and noticed that Ocean's Thirteen is set to show at the Cannes film festival. When asked about the movie the cast gave responses like this: "This script, for instance, I think may go down in the history books as one of the great screenplays of all time." Also, "This film is basically a cry for peace." George Clooney also said he wanted to do musicals. lqtm
